Club Handicap Racing

Most of the Royal Thames' fleet racing is one-design, either run by the Club for specific classes - the Cowes Dayboats classes, the Farr 45s for example - or as part of Open regattas in UK or around the world. We rarely use IRC, excellent indeed as that system is. For those occasions when RTYC yachts gather and we wish to run informal racing we use our own and much-prized Cumberland Number system, a fuller explanation of which may be found HERE
