Royal Thames Academy team came 8th out of 34 teams last weekend. The winning team had 3 RTYC members out of the 6 team members!
NYYC INVITATIONAL CUP – REPORT No.1

9 Bullets aimed at the NYYC Invitational Cup. 9 firsts and a second over the last 2 weekends won our NYYC Invitational Cup squad the J109 Warsash SC Spring Cup. The highlight was last Saturday, 27th April, when in big winds our 9 strong team delivered 4 emphatic firsts to create a 4 bullet day, a rare occurrence in fleet racing.

Royal Thames member, Gordon Drysdale, is in the final stage of preparation for a classic yacht regatta, Clyde Classic, that he is staging in Scotland on the weekend of 21st to 23rd June.

CHANGES TO MEMBERS CLUBHOUSE DISCOUNTS

The discounts available to members in the Clubhouse have changed with effect from 2 April. All previous discounts have been replaced with a standard 20% discount on all food and beverage expenditure at anytime. This discount is only available to members who charge their expenditure to their monthly account which must be supported by a monthly Direct Debit.

Members will be saddened to learn of the death of Tony Boyden who passed away peacefully in his sleep on 12th April aged 85. Tony joined the Royal Thames in 1956 and was elected an Honorary Life Member in 2007.
