Cornerstone Cup 2011

 - New York Yacht Club, Newport Rhode Island, June 25th - 27th, 2011 

 

The Cornerstone Cup is a new prestigious challenge and addition to the racing calender. A  4 way international team racing event between the New York Yacht Club, St Francis, RYS and RTYC. The event will have its first iteration at NYYC Harbour Court RI this June and then rotate through the other Clubs every other year. At Harbour Court we will be sailing in Sonars without spinnakers with no minimum or maximum crew weight. Each competing team shall consist of a total of nine sailors including skippers and crew for three boats with three crew per boat. The planned format is multiple round robins amongst all teams where wins in later rounds may be worth more points than in earlier rounds. Racing will be on all three days with a cocktail party on Saturday evening, a formal dinner on the Sunday and concluding with prize giving on the Monday afternoon.
