Blue Sky Open Meeting

One of the objectives of the Cruising Committee is to mix our regular sailing in home waters with occasional forays to more exotic locations. For example, in the past five years we have held rallies in Antigua, Maine, Sicily, Vancouver, Thailand and Turkey. Next year we are looking forward to New Zealand and Mallorca. Most of these have happened because a member found somewhere super to sail and wanted to share their enjoyment with other Thames members. We all know that Thames members cover most of the globe in their travels, and have connections in the most unlikely places. And yet there are still so many places that have not yet seen the mighty Cumberland pennant!

So, have you been sailing somewhere rather special, out of the ordinary, with stunning scenery, wonderful weather or fantastic food? If you have, then come and join our open meeting and tell us all about it. Just bring some pictures, charts etc to show just why we should be adding your place to our target list of rally locations!
