RYA VHF Certificate

An RYA approved VHF Course will be run in the Clubhouse from 1830 until 2145 on the evenings of 19th and 26th May 2009.

This course run over both evenings will encompass the full VHF and DSC componants of the RYA Radio Course. There are fundamental changes to the operation of marine VHF radios that you should be aware of.

This course is aimed for you to safely use a VHF radio and be able to transmit a distress call in the event of an emergency. The course will cumulate in an assessment for your full RYA VHF GMDSSs Radio Operator's Certificate.

Prior to this course it is recommended that you read the notes below and learn the Phonetic Alphabet alos below:

The course will be £60 per person.

Duration: 2 Evenings May 19th and 26th 18.30- 21.45

Please bring a Passport photograph with you for your certificate.

PLEASE NOTE : The price of £60 is only available if 12 people are on the course.

If we do not get the full quota we will change the dates of the course to later in the year.
