The Royal Thames Mansura Trophy Awards Ceremony – Wednesday 29th April 6pm to 8pm

The Royal Thames Mansura Trophy Awards Ceremony – Wednesday 29th April 6pm to 8pm

Following the highly successful inaugural prize-giving ceremony in 2008 presented by our Patron, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the Royal Thames is once again awarding one of the world’s premier marine hybrid trophies, the Royal Thames Mansura Trophy – this year presented by Rod Carr OBE, CEO of the RYA, a supporter of the competition.

The competition strives to highlight the use of sustainable power sources, particularly in the marine environment. Initiated in 2007, this world-wide ecological competition recognises innovation in the design, development and operation of marine vessels with hybrid or all-electric propulsion systems.

In addition to a drinks and canapé reception, some of the finalists will display the technical features of their entries in models, drawings and photographs and there will be opportunities to discuss their plans and view video clips during the evening.

Members are invited to join the competitors and media at the awards ceremony.
