European Reciprocal Team Racing Regatta 16th -17th May 2009

The Club is hosting a European reciprocal clubs team racing regatta over the weekend 16/17 May at Queen Mary Reservoir. The idea of this informal event is to forge closer sailing and social links to some of our reciprocal clubs, while giving keen racers a weekend of competetitive sailing and fun social events.

The event is classified as bronze so that it is open to all members who may not have represented the Club before and are not eligible for our gold and silver events. Please click here if you would like to take part.

Our team will consist of eight sailors in two J80s, as will our two guest teams from Hamburg and Monaco respectively.  Our CSO Malcolm McKeag is devising a full weekend of sailing starting with a fleet race to get to know the boats followed by three on three and two on two boat team racing.

On the Friday night we will welcome our guests over drinks in the Club and on Saturday night there will be a buffet at the Club or a modest dinner in a restaurant.  The cost per member will not exceed £100.
