I am writing to thank you, and through you, the staff of The Royal Thames Yacht Club for the superb lunch my family and I had in the club on Wednesday.

My Investiture Day was wonderful and it was made all that more special by all your kindness and the attentive and friendly manner in which the dining room staff looked after us - it really was excellent. I am particularly grateful for the manner in which my late arrival was managed so professionally and with such courteous good manners and consideration - a delay caused in the main by a combination of a special visit to HRH The Princess Royal's offices and a protracted photograph session.

May I express my sincere gratitude to you , it was a very special treat - it made the day.

Last Thursday I hosted a luncheon for 25 guests - through you may I thank Chef for a delicious lunch and the staff concerned for wonderful service.

Just a note to thank the staff of the club for putting on such a wonderful wedding reception,  In particular Murray Soper was most helpful with all the planning. Many of our "thank you" letters praise the club for putting on such a good "do"!

Matt and his team could not have been more supportive or helpful; Simon and his galley staff produced another memorable dinner - beautifully cooked and presented. "The evening was a fantastic success and I must thank you and Eva for accommodating so many changes so late in the day. On the evening itself Matt and his team did us proud, somehow managing to delay the start to dinner while an unexpected birthday surprise was presented! Despite the delay, chef and his staff came up trumps and our menu choices were enjoyed by all.

The service before, during and after dinner was faultless (and charming) and I would also like to say a big thank you to George for keeping the bar open for us in that effortless style that is such a hallmark of the Club.

Everyone was extremely complimentary about the venue - indeed our Batch " Nurse" - Malcom Cavan said the following in an email he sent me yesterday " Michael, from another who has organised the three Batch dinners for YO 16, I have to say that dinner was the finest I have enjoyed at any London Club, in a similar vein, masterly timing from the chef and team, beef cooked to perfection, and a whooly beautiful menu".
