02 May –03 May

A two-weekend regatta series of windward/ leeward fleet races for Farr 45s

David Diehl Trophy

Two weekends of closely-managed windward/ leeward racing for Farr 45s.

The trophy, a 19th centrury ship model of a type known as a Nef, was presented to the Club by the late David Diehl originally to promote short-handed racing in offhsore boats. David Diehl, among many contributions to the sport, was a founding figure in the Sigma 38 class and a keen racer. He represented Switzerland in the 1981 Admiral's Cup. Since 2002 it has been used to promote inshore racing in level-racing big boats. It was won in 2008 by Agne Nilsson and Fortis Excel.
