A talk on the training undertaken by the modern-day RNLI Lifeboat Crew to enable crews to carry out successful rescues in a wide variety of situations and environmental conditions.
  
Peter Everard comes from a background that includes work in product development and fisheries protection. He has more than 20 years experience as a volunteer member of the crew of Shoreham Lifeboats before joining The Lifeboat College. As an Instructor at The Lifeboat College, Peter is responsible for instructing all-weather Lifeboat crews in areas such as boat handling, navigation, Search and Rescue and command aspects using Lifeboats, the College training boats and the SAR simulator.
 
An Open Forum will follow this presentation.

Members of RIN, RTYC, their guests; members of the HCMM, Cruising Association, Little Ship ClubOCC, RCC,
RCC Pilotage Foundation, RNVR YC, and RORC are welcome to attend.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available in the meeting room. The Club bar will be open from 1800 hours. The presentation starts at 1845 hours.
