Laying Up Dinner — 19 October '10

Tuesday 19th October - 7.30pm for 8pm

With winter looming around the corner and the summer sailing season officially over, the Royal Thames is delighted to invite its members to the annual Laying Up Dinner.

This much-loved event has time and time again proven to be an enjoyable evening with delicious food, great company and thrilling stories about the past sailing season.

This year's speaker will be Vice Admiral Sir Alan Massey KCB, CBE.

Sir Alan retired as the Second Sea Lord on 12th July (he was an Honorary Member of the Club while holding that appointment) and assumed his new position as Chief Executive of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) on 20th July.  He will surely be an interesting and amusing speaker.

Time: 7.30pm for 8pm

Dress: Mess Kit/Black Tie
