INTERCLUB TEAM RACING CHALLENGE:  Sunday, 25^th April 2010

ROYAL THAMES YACHT CLUB  vs  SEA VIEW YACHT CLUB

On the weekend of the Spring Excuse, an Inter Club Team Racing challenge will be taking place between Sea View Yacht Club and The Royal Thames Yacht Club by kind invitation from Sea View Yacht Club to the Royal Thames Yacht Club.

The aim and hope is that the participants in the TR event will also join in the other activities of the Spring Excuse.  In particular, fleet racing will take place on the Sea View Mermaids on Saturday, 24^th and those participating in the Team Racing on Sunday are urged to participate to familiarise themselves with the Mermaids (there will be a charter fee payable on Saturday but not for the Sunday racing). 

The Cumberland Fleet will be based at the marina in Bembridge Harbour and the shore-based activities of the Spring Excuse will be taking place at the Bembridge Sailing Club and Sea View Yacht Club.  The last of the Cumberland Fleet’s activities will be dinner at Bembridge Sailing Club on Saturday evening, and the fleet leaves the harbour on the Sunday morning high tide, the next day.

Captain of Cruising warmly invites the Team Racers to join them in their more civilised activities ashore !

Format of Racing:        To be finalised but probably each club to enter two or three 2-boat teams.           

Nature of Event:          An informal social bronze event combining young and not so young
