ROYAL THAMES YACHT CLUB AND TEAMORIGIN FILE AN AMICUS BRIEF IN SUPPORT OF SNG

Wednesday 7th January, 2009: Today the Royal Thames Yacht Club, London, UK together with TEAMORIGIN, the British Challenger for the 33rd America’s Cup, filed a request with the New York Court of Appeals to accept an Amicus Brief as a ‘friend of the Court’ in support of the Société Nautique de Genève.
Team Racing Tutorial 10th February

In this tutorial, Leo Dixon and Jon Pinner will look to review previous team racing events and look at scenarios that have occurred and lessons that can be learned from these events. In particular Leo will focus on some of the close team racing that occurred in last years BA Cup.

RTYC Member Mike Slade's 100 ft Maxi ICAP Leopard took line honours in the famous Heineken Cape to Bahia Race in a new record time.

Over sixty of the Club’s cruising members met at Knightsbridge in January, partly as usual to renew old friendships and tell taller tales of exotic places visited last year, but mostly to take a look at the program for 2009 and future years. The 2009 major events are the Turkish rally (Derek Wright/ Jonathan Beard) in June and the Vancouver rally (Rufus Gilday / RVYC) in September.
